hey i'm experimenting with my gtx 280 and was just wondering what kind of stable overclock i should expect. i'm using regular fan cooling.

right now i'm running 685 core & 1185 memory. does anyone know how high i could get it without serious heating issues? what is the max temp for this card?

my system specs:
QX9770 on 790i chipset
4GB OCZ ddr3 ram

This is an old game but looping Unreal (from 1998) for 12 hours or so also will help as this game is very sensitive to an unstable GPU overclock. Use it in conjunction with 3DMark 2003, 2005 and 2006.:)

Why on earth would someone do that? Why would you test your videocard for 12 hours with an old game??

OP, just use ATI tool artifact scanner for 1 hour, if it passes that try some real games. But the thread is not about how to test stability. Use Riva Tuner and increase the videocard fan speed if you're getting more then 80 C, like Angry Hampster said. And don't think you'll get for your GTX what others got on theirs. Every card is different and overclocks different.
