Hi!

Welcome to another 'Suggestions on a new build' thread. I am building a new build as my ancient PC died down on me after serving me faithfully for 7 years. If you're interested how my old PC looked like read below or if you would like to come down to business then skip the part below.

Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1.11 GHZ
HDD: Seagate 80 GB
RAM: 512MB (2*256; One was Hyundai)
GFX Card: Nvidia GeForce 6200
MB: MSI something
Cabinet with built-in PSU: Intex with 300W
Optical Drive: CD RW
and blah....blah....

New Build

Note: All prices are approximates. They can be high or low. The ones shown below are their average.

Processor: Intel Q9550 @ Rs. 14500
MB: Biostar TForce TP45D2-A7 @ Rs. 5000
RAM: Kingston 4 GB (2*2) DDR2 800 Mhz @ Rs. 2400
HDD: Western Digital 500 GB @ Rs. 2500
Optical Drive: DVD RW @ Rs. 1200
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 4770 @ Rs. 7500
PSU: ?
Monitor: 19" LCD @ 6000
Cabinet: ?
OS: Windows 7 RC @ 0000

Well, I know that Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P is one of the best P45 board out there but its out of reach for me :(.
The Optical Drive and LCD when I buy would be the cheapest when I go out to shop.
PSU & Cabinet are the 2 things which I haven't decided. I am confused as to whether I should go for 500W or 600W.
Cabinet is also undecided and I would most probably buy one on the spot but you can give a suggestion.

I will buy my items from Delhi, India and my budget is Rs. 40,000 ($800).

I know I will have to exceed my budget by Rs. 3000-4000 ($65-$85) due to the PSU and Cabinet, so I would have to compromise on them.
I think it would also be nice if you guys gave me suggestions on improving the build if I need to.

This build would last me for 4 years and I also plan to do moderate overclocking play games like Crysis, GTA4, etc.

Also, please confirm that these parts will work together happily. :)

Thank you for reading.

Edit: Added prices and removed the store.

Maybe consider the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L, a cheaper version of the UD3P. On Newegg at least it's the same price as the Biostar board you listed. I don't know how the prices compare there because I didn't see the Biostar board on your store's list.

Well, I can't because buy the Gigabyte board as then my budget will overshoot as the Gigabyte board is expensive in India. :(
I will update the first post will the prices of the parts in INR.
Well, I will be buying from another store as that site's just for reference and to know the product cost.

EDIT: Removed the site.

Well, you don't want to skimp on the PSU, because a cheap-a** power supply will kill some of your more valuable parts. That nice Q9550 will go bye-bye (worst case scenario), if that PSU goes down in a bad way (electrical surge, static discharge, etc).

I'd be a little carefully in your PSU selection. The one that I've been using for the last 1-2 years (since my first PSU blew up) is the Cooler Master 550w (forget the exact model). That served me very well especially since I've going into GPU and CPU folding simultaneously.

Hmm.. Thanks for the suggestion. What do you think about other companies like Tagan, Corsair?

Also, Do you think that 550W would be enough for this build (keeping in mind, little bit overclocking and future expansion)?
I was thinking in the range of 500W-600W for this build.

Well a 400-450w QUALITY PSU is all that you should need. If you want a little breathing room or upgrade room, I'd recommend a 500-550w PSU. Corsair/Antec/PCP&C/Seasonic are all quality brands to consider. Cooler Master isn't one that I'd recommend, but that is me. Since your not really going to be much more than 200-250w with your build you will be just fine with 400-450w. The Corsair 400cx/Antec 430w Earthwatts/PCP&C 400w/ Seasonic 400w will all do for what you need.

Thanks for your suggestion, I would seriously consider it.
I would also like to know what you guys think of the Motherboard (regarding overclocking, I would most probably do overclocking but not much) and if you have any suggestions about a Cabinet for the build?
