Suggestions on how to get rid of alot of CDs?

I have several CD-Rs I want to destroy, and I need suggestions. I have about 10 of them, so I want to avoid using the microwave. I don't want it to smell up the house, nor do I want to break the microwave.

I don't want to snap it in half either, that creates a loud popping noise, and makes a big mess.

Any suggestions on how to do it? I'm trying to think of a neat idea before I start cutting them.

Well, the reason why I am wanting to destroy them is because other people don't need what is on the disks. I will be permamently destroying these disks.

I don't want to damage my car. However, sandpaper sounds like a good idea.

just put them in a bag if you're worried about a mess from the snapping...or put them in a wrapped up t-shirt and then snap away. just something to contain the shards is all.

I just use a strong pair of scissors and cut them in half.

Go to the local gas station and snap them in the bathroom and flush the shards or something. Why is this so difficult?

I never said it was difficult. I was looking for creative ideas before I tried on my own.

I'm not THAT worried about someone getting ahold of it, I just want it to be unreadable to the point where none of the data can get extracted or even viewed.

Right now, I"m just cutting them in quarter sized pieces.
