As most of you may know, AMD has just recently anncouced their last Sockect 939 CPU. I was just planning a major upgrade from my P4 Socket 478 to an Opteron 165 and A8N32-SLI mobo. But this now makes me hesitant to do so as I would be obsolete in a few short months. Is it worth it to wait it out for Socket M2?

I have an older AMD setup (Athlon XP, DDR, agp 9800pro) and I'm gonna wait.

I'd like to updrade to some of the next gen tech right now (I'm sure most people would) but If we wait we can get the new socket, dual core, DDR2 memory, and PCI-E all in one go.

I think its going to be sometime before those CPU are practical and cost efficent so its up to you if you want to wait
