Suggestions on cargo pants

I need some cargo pants.

I have some failed tries in my closet, so let me list things I know/have learned:

I need some pants that are loose in the thighs. I have a 32" waist, but my thighs are rather built, so slim cut pants wont work. They don't need to be ballooned, just relaxed in the thighs a bit without having a saggy ass.

Button flaps or very large effective velcro closures. I have some with small velcro patches and the pockets NEVER stay closed with anything heavy in them (like my wallet!)

Heavy duty fabric. I don't want something thin for winter.

Wrinkle resistence would be a plus. Having pocket flaps that curl up at the corners looks like crap. I know they are supposed to be casual and somewhat sloppy, but I have my limits. 🙂

And of course, quality counts. I don't want to be ripping through a pair in just a few months.

[edit] This is to wear for casual wear in place of jeans. So no camo or army surplus, please. Khaki and light tan would be best.

Thanks for your help 🙂

I would suggest Abercrombie pants, but they're not too wrinkle resistant. Poke around the J. Crew website for some possibilities. I have a pair of J. Crew flannel-lined cargos that I got for $20 this fall on sale, and I can't wait to wear them.

J Crew only has Cord cargos and camos on their site. 🙁

Thanks for the replies but see my edit above. BDUs wont cut it. 🙁

I figured as much. I have pretty much the same problem as you do (32 waist, thick thighs), but I don't wear cargo pants anymore. I mostly wear more casual-looking khakis, which are pretty hard to find. Old Navy is pretty much the only place I've been able to find what I'm looking for, which meets your specifications minus the pockets. I also got a nice pair of corduroys at H&M that are nice and casual looking and fit well.

Can't help you with the cargo pants though, sorry. Try Costco if you have a membership.
