Suggestions on Brand/Model of DVD/ROM Player and...OEM or Retail?

I've got a full version of Power DVD (with the purchase of a VisionTek Ti200) and now I need a DVD/Rom player for a new PC.

Any suggestions on brands/models? Also, do you think it would be OK to buy an OEM (i.e., with no software) DVD/ROM player since I have Power DVD? If I bought an OEM, would I have to buy cables, etc.?

i have used many Lite-On brand DVDs and CDRWs ... they are very cheap and have ran great for me, havent had a single one fail yet. OEM or Retail their DVDs come with power DVD anyways im pretty sure... but i dont think either comes with a cable. buying a cable shouldnt be a problem thouh
 
yeah and an old analog audio cable.. i never think about those, i just use Win2K and run digital audio so i dont need those cables 🙂
