$140 of that is just for networking equip. so the build for him is $532.

He plays WoW, C.O.D. 4 and if it will handle it, Crysis and of course school work. Is there anyway to find out for sure if that video card will work in that motherboard?

That's a micro ATX motherboard - the video card will fit and work fine if you're putting it in a normal size case, for whatever reason, but you'd be better off getting a proper ATX board with more expansion slots and features. Don't forget Operating System and Monitor!

Thanks, I didn't notice it was micro atx. I'll go try to find another one.

He has a 19" viewsonic crt that I'm going to keep for now. I already picked up a copy of Vista Home Premium for the system.

For his next birthday I'll probably grab him a 22" lcd and a better video card too.
