Suggestions on a Budget Mid-end Gaming Video Card

My Video card just fried this morning, it was a 7800GT

I just wanted some suggestions on a budget mid-end Gaming video card.

I only play Starcraft and Battle Field 2142.

Starcraft is not an issue, but for BF2142 I'd like to have good resultion and very good fps on mid settings.

What do you think of this card? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16814130025
Any other suggestions?
Thank you so much.

we have no idea what you consider good resolution....for some it is 800x600 for others it is 1920x1200

if I can play at 800x600 but with VERY good fps that is fine... fps is more important than resolution I guess.
I'm assuming with lower resolution you get higher fps. I hate a glitchy game play.

I used to play Counter Strike 1.6, and I would not settle for anything less than 100fps.

Oh, and don't make two threads about the same topic please.

yeah, sorry about that, I figured I'd start another thread regarding a new video card. I edited the other thread to be just about the 7800GT being fried.

Now I figured out the card is an Albatron. I went on their website, and after a couple of clicks I realized the Card IS still under warranty, and also that about 2 hours ago while inspecting the card I removed the Warranty Sticker which was hanging lose by one end. the sticker Ripped so I do not think there is any way of putting it back as if it had not been removed.

From what I read this voids the warranty. Is there any way to get around this?

If the warranty path does not work out for you, I would recommend you get a 7600GT. There is an EVGA and an XFX priced at $100 after MIR and before shipping at NewEgg. The 7600GT is a good GPU and should run the games you mentioned with no problem.

Thank you

I've called and they're closed I guess for the week-end, so I've sent an e-mail describing the situation... We'll see what they say.

I was actually looking at that 7600GT as well on newegg with the $20 rebate.

I might just get that one if the warranty doesnt pan out.
Thanks again for your comments.
