Suggestions? Need to keep large amts of data synched between 3 devices

So heres the deal, I am an amateur photographer with roughly 40-50gb of pictures...

Preferably, what I would like to do is keep a copy of the images on my desktop (mac mini), on my external USB drive (via Firewire), as well as a copy of them on my T41 laptop.

How they heck can i keep the same files on each of them? Say I work on some images on my laptop, i would love to be able to just hop on my mini and have the post processed pictures on there, without having to transfer all of them manually.

Any suggestions?
