suggestions for using two scrap 2.5" drives...

i was able to scrap two laptops circa-1997 and pulled out two 1gig HDs.

can anyone suggest good uses for these?

i know i can convert 2.5" to 3.5" drives but these notebook drives are 4200rpm and very slow.

i thought about making these external HDs via firewire/usb........ but at the cost of $80 for an external case for 1gig is not cost effective.

Yeah . . . put 'em in a external Firewire or USB case and they make decent sneaker net tools!

I had a fridge delivered to my house the other day and one of the wheels fell off... I used an old HDD from a laptop to prop it back up again....while waiting for the repairs to be done. It works better there than it did in the lap top! LOL 😀
