welp after s44 and a few otehrs help me look for a avr and what not, i am between two models on that...

I need to purcahse two tv's... preferably a 42 inch or so for my new living room/fireplace area, and then one for my entertainment area, where the new avr and speakers will be going...

suggestions pros and cons

the one upstairs i dont want to spend probably more than 700 bucks on simply since i wont be upstairs much watching it..

i have no problem dropping 1500 or so on the one downstairs =)

Panasonic plasma- the base 720p model for upstairs and the higer end "Neo" paneled 1080p version for your downstairs spot.

20 feet away!...you want as big as you can get. I don't have any rooms in my house with a wall to wall distance of 20 feet. (Much less distance between head and screen front) If you can afford that big of a house, spring for 2 58" Plasmas 🙂

..or better yet, projector in the basement, 58" upstairs.

sorry sivart, i had a fucking brain fart... my mind has been wondering the room is 30x10 or something like that

it would be more like 10-13 feet or so... not 20 feet lol

I still say projector for basement. I have a 15x12 room and a 100" screen is just right from about 13.5 feet away. 720p projectors with a screen can be had for well under $1500. 1080p package will run $1500 and up.
