Suggestions for Team-Building Exercises?

Title/Summary says it all. I need some suggestions for such exercises. Whether its a ropes course or scavenger hunt, almost all suggestions are welcome.

Trust fall.

put tacks on the floor, Blind fold them, replace tacks with popcorn or cotton balls, have them jump. Although this will probably have some of your people quit.

My situation is rather peculiar. The people participating in the exercises are more than willing to do dangerous/unorthodox things.

I have a friend that's a consultant, he tells me that a night out drinking with clients usually gets billed as a "team-building excercise"

care to elaborate on the type of group?

Well, when I was in the Navy on shore duty we got the marines to teach us four-man fire teams and building sweeps. When your life is potentially on the line team-work seems more relevant.

(I dont think my advice was very helpful. I also didnt know that crossing a simple road could be such a major task.)

1. get people into 2 teams
2. everyone put their hands in the middle
3. get everyone to close their eyes, then tell them to grab 1 other hand with each of their hands. They can't let go.
4. First team to untangle into a circle wins

Excellent communications excercise and builds teamwork fast. Also gives you the chance to feel up some female (or male if you swing that way) coworkers...

Our company took use golfing. I had a blast. Around here they have these golf courses call Pitch and Putts. They are full 18 hole courses but the distances are much shorter then a regular course.

At this point, you might be asking yourself, 'why am I holding this 30lb. Cinder block in my hands? You might also ask yourself, 'why does this cinder block have a long piece of string tied to it? And finally, why is the other end of this string tied securely to your penis?

Just don't have them... they all suck. Crack open a few beers instead.
