I need suggestions for 4.1 or 5.1 speakers under $170. and btw i have a philips acoustic edge soundcard. inspire? z560? etc... thanks.
 
the inspire 5.1 has been receiving positive reviews for being functional and having a low cost. they're just like $100.
 
i would go with the z560s. just watch the hot deals forum because dell will probably have them in stock soon (if you want to get them at ~$110 shipped. if you're not willing to wait, newegg.com has them for $140). i have the acoustic edge hooked up with the z560s and the qmss does an awesome job of sending sound to the rear speakers. i haven't tried the m3d yet because qmss works so well. 🙂
 
Creative speakers always seem to be weaker than ones of competing brands. How good do they sound for their price range?
