Suggestions for Romantic evening with my chick.

Well my old lady has been good to me and we just got back from a short vacation and could use a romantic night together. A few things are keeping me from going out for a night on the town:
We cant get alone together till 8pm
We cant stay up past 1-2 a.m.
We cant go to movies or nice restaurant
I like alcohol so any suggestions for something other than "Get her wasted then have your way with her"
(i.e. red wine sounds good)
Is there some sort of food that is good cold or reheated?

Thanks for looking, I just couldn't think of anything really cool.

why cant you go to a nice restaurant?

The fact that the places around here aren't quality and the drive to a place that is would waste most of the night.

Phocas, when you ask about cold or reheated food, consider salmon, which is sometimes served cold (Hint: It needs to be cooked first.) Do you live someplace where you can get / will your woman eat sushi? It's always served cold.

Well with all the "can't"s you have listed, just don't go out with her.

I was thinking of things to do at home....

cook her fav meal and let the red wine flow. Then take advantage of her drunken state.

You could always cook a nice dinner for her at your place complete with wine if you so desire (you could do the flowers and candlelit thing if you want too), then watch a movie or something. Even if you can't cook, I'm sure she'll appreciate the fact that you tried.

What about an evening in?

Learn to cook something really well; put together a four or five-course meal and "dress up" your dining area to make it look like somewhere she's always wanted to go-- France, Italy, Hawaii, for example.

Research the food beforehand so your courses go well together; pair the food with a complementary wine (or wines). It will be tricky to time the food correctly (i.e. have everything ready and at the right temperature when it's supposed to be served) so you may have to practice, but it will be well worth it.

Good luck,

Heh.. I'm not the only one who was wondering this.

What kinds of things does she like to do? Why not cook her a nice dinner? Curl up together to a rented movie, or go for a walk.

Woah! Awesome responses!
As for getting back from vacation, well I should have specified... We went to my hometown and spent thanksgiving with my mom and dad. If you met my parents you would understand, it was awesome family time but no one on one time.
"donnie darko"-------Is this good? ill have to check it out and see if its chick flick.
" Go up some local hill, sit down, observe the sky, drink wine."--------I wanted to do this but its sub-30F here
"Salmon and Sushi"--------Great freaking idea!
"btw...carpaccio is great cold dish. "--------never heard of this, time to google it

This might end up being really cool and she will dig it im sure.
