I have a 2GHz AMD rig with 160GB HD, 512MB RAM, and a AVerTV Deluxe Studio tuner card, but I'm currently using a GeForce 2 MX with no TV out.

I'd like to buy a low-cost card to allow TV out so I can use the computer as a PVR with the TV instead of the monitor.

Any suggestions for a good but cheap card that has TV out (s-video preferred, but not required) for this purpose? I'd prefer to spend less than $100 on this.

Thanks!

You just want s-video out on a new video card? Just about any card does that.

If you already have a tv tuner card, you can get a dvi/vga to tv adapter. If you've got a Radeon 8500 or better, you can buy an adapter directly from ATI for about $35-40 shipped. I have one for sale that converts DVI to component video for a Radeon 9500 or better

You can also get generic vga adapters on auction sites for $50-150. A friend of mine bought one that converts vga to component for about $75. I've seen vga to svideo for less.

If you don't have a tuner card, you can get one of those for about $50. The Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 Deluxe is popular and decent for the price.

Let me clarify...

I want a cheap video card that has TV-Out that can handle displaying the full-screen video from a separate TV tuner card as well as the overlays associated with running a program like BeyondTV or other PVR programs.

Recommendations for best buy for the money as far as quality of TV output goes are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Um, is there a difference between a non-pro and an SE for the 9600?
