bored as usual... and i thought of building a p4 system... heres what i have so far....

Giga-byte GA-8IRXP p4 titan(blue) $128 + $10 shipping at newegg.com

Hercules prophet fdx 8500le....(blue) $128 + $6 @ newegg

hercules fortisimo II (blue) $31 + $10 @ newegg

Crucial ddr $76.49 free shipping @crucial with TT ramsinks...(passive ones aluminum blue...) $9 + 6 newegg

raidmax blue aluminum psu $68 free shipping @ newegg

Silver rounded cables... 4x $8 + 6 shipping 1x rounded floppy cable $6+ 6 newegg

blue cold cathode light.... $33 +6

Casei plan on putting in a window... $69 + 15.96 at colorcases.com

Intel P4 1.6a retail $130 + 6.95

Window kit $15 + 6 at newegg...

so far the total is........ $822.40

any other suggestions would be great
help me save on this... and i will keep a well documented progression of the modding....

Go with a Lian-Li PC65 (w/ window)...

Not only is it an awesome case, but the pre-modded window looks sweet with the rivets.... :D

Here's a link to directron, i Bought mine at pcmutants.com (it was $159 shipped) but it looks like their sold out of them...

I personally could care less what my rig looks like. It sits under my desk. As long as it works, I'm happy.

i forgot to mention that this is going to be a budget system... so i really would like it if the case was under $100 and i dont need a psu.. cause its on the list already

Yeah and the PC-65 comes with a red and blue hdd/power led's. Blue is so cool :)

well i wasnt sure about the HSF do they come in an anodized blue? but the chipset heatsink is chrome so i suppose that would be ok wouldnt it?

but this is for a P4 system... i dont think that works....
i could always use the stock fan...

Do you know which socket type your mobo has? (If you just have the model number, i can look it up for ya)

The 8045 wont fit on the 478, you will need the 8942. You were right about the AX-7. :)

although now that i think about it.. maybe going with a blue and silver scheme isnt a bad idea.... i could use those new silver rounded ide cables and what not...

Sounds good to me... Its basically what i have :D

My next rig i wanna do a Black aluminum case with all Bright Orange components inside.. :D

it might be a while... this is just a plan... im gonna raise the $1000 needed for this project...
