Topic says it all. Any recomendations? The processor is a Celeron II 600 (overclocks to 926 with no problems). Currently I have a BH6 rev 1.01 I believe it is. I'd love to get another BX based board but they are scarce lately.

I'd reccomend the Asus CUSL2 motherboard. It's an overclocker's delight and has mucho stability. The price isn't too bad either. You can go with either the CUSL2, non -C or the CUSL2-C. Either way, it's a hell of a nice motherboard. The CUSL2 has the original i815E chipset while the CUSL2-C carries the Intel i815EP. Either way, you're gonna get the right board for ya. Oh yeah, the CUSL2-C is a lot cheaper...note the -C, which I believe equals cutdown version. (Lacks onboard video, AGP Pro, and a few less USB ports) I think that about sums it up. Have fun!

The C model doesn't have onboard sound or video... it still has the agp-pro and it has 4 usb ports.

The CUSL2-C has a standard AGP4X slot, not an AGP Pro. Other differences include only 4USB ports, 1 CNR slot instead of two, and no support for PPGA Celeron processors.

I'm not sure why you want to upgrade you BH6 when it can run your C-600 at 926Mhz? The performance gain from 440BX to i815EP is not worth the price especially now the AMD CPU are almost give aways. Keep the system and wait until you have enough funds to build a new system based on newer chipset and cpu. It'll probably be a better resort. Since the C-600 and P-3 CPU mostly "max" out at 966 Mhz. Going to i815 will not get you any higher than what you're running right now. If you want to improve performance look on upgrading memory or the video card, which you can probably use on your next system.

Jiggz,

I'm not upgrading because I want too. Trust me if that was the case I'd go with athlon thunderbird 1 or 1.2 gig with a via kt133a based motherboard. I'm doing this cause the BH6 is NOW causing SEVERE unstability. If you had read my previous post's more carefully you would know I have already re-installed windows there is no reason other then the mother board can't tolerate this. ITS NOT STABLE!

The reason I'm trying to stick with the celeron II right now is because 1) If my memory serves me correctly my power supply isn't one of the listed compatible with the amd based boards. 2) the celeron II is only a month and a couple of months old
3) the cost of a power supply, amd processor, via based board far exceed a simple board upgrade.
