For some reason the name Iomega makes me cringe. Zip Drives, Jaz Drives, the nightmares are coming back. . .

Not that the same product quality has carried over to the NAS units, but i'd definitely second guess anything w/ the Iomega name on it.

Hello,
I have an Iomega NAS server, not the same one but very similar. The one I have is very nice. I have had it running for 7 months now without a single hiccup.

I did not like iomega I set up a small office network back in December. The iomega nas we had was a 200m the problem was that it did'nt work. Tech support tried everything they could to keep from sending a tech out to replace the bad hard drives. I was on the phone with the trying all there trouble shooting procedures for 3 hours straight. After that the tech support rep hung up the phone with me in order to confer with a higher level tech. She called me back I was on the phone trying nearly the same trouble shooting procedures as before with no success for 2 more hours. I finally got pissed off and demanded to speak to a supervisor at that point the I expalined to him what was going on he depatched a tech and the problem was finally resolved. Get a nas from a real company such as dell that has real support and will stnd behind there products. The messed up ting is that this problem pushed us over 5 houers on this job. I had to eat the extra 5 hours because myself and the client had alreay agreed on a time block in which the network would be complete
