Suggestions for monitor setup

Ok, here's the deal, I'll be getting a new monitor here not too long. I want an LCD and possibly a CRT. I'd want this for some pc gaming (mostly Halo, but some others too), xbox and gamecube, watching dvds and other general computer tasks (web, typing).

I've had my eye on this one for a while:

Sceptre Naga

I like it because it is widescreen, a decent size, and has so many inputs (component, s-video, composite, vga, dvi, and also cable/antenae), its a reasonable price (about $530 shipped), and it got a pretty positive review from Cnet. But I realize I can get a 17" LCD that has better quality but lacks the inputs.

I'd like to combine an LCD with a CRT so that I can use one to watch tv/movies on while web surfing on the other

I want a high quality source to input the xbox and gamecube signal (maybe a vga adapter or video processor) as my Winfast 2000 expert isn't cutting it for me (won't need an Tv tuner built into the monitor).

I don't want a huge CRT as it'd just be too bulky, but I realize a CRT still offers better picture quality, hence LCD & CRT. Would like to keep the price about $500-750.

I'm just looking for some helpful suggestions, and any would help.

Thanks in advance

Widescreen will probably cause more headaches since not all games support widescreen resolutions. I'd go with a 21-inch CRT, like the Viewsonic P225F. If you hurry, you can get a refurbed unit from Newegg for only $441.00 including shipping! :Q:D

Anybody have a setup similar to what I'm looking for?

Oh, by the way, I have a GeForce FX5200 128MB that supports dual monitors, and will upgrade to probably a 9800 Pro later on.

Between that price range you can get a Samsung 172X with DVI input and a 12ms response time.
