Suggestions for LGA 775 replacement board

So my Abit IP35-E died recently, and I am looking for a new motherboard. I am satisfied with the speed of my computer as of now, and from what I have heard going to an AM3 board and a corresponding AMD processor would probably not offer me a huge jump in speed. So I am looking to simply replace my existing motherboard with something that will work, reusing all my other parts. I would like to buy a board that is suitable for overclocking, and ideally I would like to be able to continue to run my Q6600 at 3.2ghz.

Specs are as follows:

ABIT IP35E
Q6600 @ 3.2ghz with aftermarket heatsink (thermalright ultra 90 or similar I believe?)
4gb DDR2
AMD 6850 @ stock speeds
Corsair HX520W PSU
Antec P180
500gb 7200rpm HDD
Dell U2311H

I am willing to upgrade to DDR3 memory if necessary, though I am not sure how much speed increase this will offer (if any?)

I had this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&SID=u00000687)
board recommended to me in a thread where I was attempting to identify the problem, but it appears that it has recently gone out of stock. It seems like this 775 boards are drying up very quickly, so I would like to buy a replacement as soon as possible.

Any suggestions on motherboards (and corresponding ram if DDR3 board) are very much appreciated.

Not too hard to achieve a 355 FSB for the 3.2GHz OC.
Honestly, just hit up FS/FT or Craigslist for a used 775 mobo. I'd give you my Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Rev 1.0 for shipping if I didn't already give it to my boss at work 🙂

I'm not planning on installing an SSD in this computer, but almost all of those boards that are left on Newegg are Micro ATX (which, AFAIK will not fit into the P180 properly).

The used route is an option, but I would prefer to buy new if possible. I'm okay with buying a board that requires DDR3 though.

This looks like about the only ATX option left for DDR3:

DDR2:

Any feedback on which is a better option?

I wasn't aware micro atx would fit in a standard atx sized case.

That being the case I guess I would just be worried about the cpu cooler I have fitting on the board (thermalright xp90 iirc)

While I am sure that they are out there I haven’t seen an ATX chassis that doesn’t support MicroATX, but that is not the point the Intel® Desktop Board DG33FB is a nice ATX board that may be able to fit your needs or you can go with the Intel Desktop Board DQ35JO for a good MicroATX. Now I understand that you might have a hard time finding these boards. I have a couple companies that focus on finding discontinued products; they are Cuetech at 800-746-4283 and InBus 925-454-2540. Now there may be a premium price from these companies but if you have to have the board these guys should be able to find you what you are looking for.
