I've been changing my diet slowly (for the better, hopefully)... and I've read more than once that it might be a good idea to incorporate some fish into it. Fine. So I go to the store today and look in the fish freezer. I see plenty of stuff that I've had before, but the swordfish caught my eye. I'm yet to try this. It's fresh, and there are two, hefty-sized steaks in the package.

How to prepare it - and good with what?

Thanks in advance.

Either under a broiler or on a HOT barbeque.

Be careful though, fish steaks cook a LOT faster than you might think, and they tend to get quite tough if you overcook them.

Broil with lemon pepper.

I broiled some shark steaks a while back. Like another poster said, be careful not to overcook them. My shark steaks came out a little tough.

LOL, I learned my lesson the hard way with shark steaks.

They came out of the oven with the consistency of a flat tire. :disgust:

Rub pepper grounds into steaks, sit for a few minutes.

Add about a tablespoon of oil into pan over medium heat, add a quarter cup of onions (can be more or less) and some crushed red peppers and salt. Saute a minute and add some crushed garlic and a cup of peeled tomatoes, add a cup of white wine (chicken broth if you need to) and simmer for 5 minutes.

Different pan or just cleaned original, add tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Sear fish for about 3 minutes a side for medium-rare.

I was angry with myself for overcooking mine. May as well have just thrown my money away. Oh well.
