This is easier than you think without getting take out so often.

When you get the time to cook, make HUGE portions for the purpose of refridgerating some of them.

A cooked 1 pound box of spaghetti can make a plate for each of you and then be divided up into 3 or 4 fridge containers for meals in the coming weeks.
This is just one example of the many meals you can make for long-term serving. Soups, chilis, casseroles... etc. all reheat quite nicely.

Get some cold cuts and just make some sandwiches.

Dinners don't have to be elegant and back breaking to be appreciated :)

Ditto. It made me do a double take and my eyes bugged out for a second.
