I've been lookin at shrink wrappin, wire tubes etc, but I'm not really sure what would work best and the wiring in my computer is to say the least a mess, thanks to having fans wire over to my fan controller. Here's some pics, any suggestions on how and what to do and use to get this mess sparkling neat?

I like using spiral cable wrap. I picked up 20 feet in a bag @ Fry's for around $5 and have quite a bit left. You can take cables out of the run and insert cables into the run at varius places with spiral wrap. Its reusable, and it soaks up dye pretty well if you want to color it. Other than that bunch of small zip ties and maybe a dozen or of the adhesive backed zip tie anchors. You should be able to make it neat for under $10.

The cheapest route is to go crazy with duct tape/electrical tape and thin zipties.
If you want it to look nice, try UV reactive flexo wrap
Its also much cheaper from SVC compared to directron.
Just remember that even if you wrap the cables in something, unless they are pinned down and out of the way, they will still obstruct airflow. In some cases, properly folded ribbon cables are less restrictive to airflow than the rounded cables.

Those thin tie things work just fine and I also just wrap my cables around the case itself, but seeing as you have an open one you should probably do what #3 suggested.

Ken, it depends on how meticulous you are.
You can buy a thicker width that will fit around the various connectors, but then it kind of negates the thinning effect.
I just push it over the 3-pin connectors and take off the 4-pins.

I would recommend getting or making rounded IDE Cables and some cable wrap, looks nice and gets the job done.

Before

The next pic I just took and is too close up. Sorry bout that.

After

Home Depot, electrical department, under $5.

It's called Loom, and comes in 1/2 inch and 3/8 or 1/4 or something.

Then I got some colored electrical tape to keep it tight. You can get a lot crazier and prettier than that, of course, but I did that in about an hour and that includes the ride to Home Depot.

It'll hold me till I can order some UV reactive Flexo Pet.

I started to show you how you I ran most of the wires down the backside of the bays and thru all the little holes, keeping them out of sight, but I knocked my camera off the desk while taking the backside of the case off :( Luckily I was smart enough to buy a cheap camera, knowing I would soon destroy it :D

svc sells ones that can be pulled open and adjusted

It doesn't have to look pretty. What I do is velcro/twist tie the wires together and shove them behind the motherboard or hard drives. Common sense stuff.

Well I've got it organized, after a massive rewiring job on everything, so now air flow is fine and their mostly out of the way, but now I need ta know what would be the best looking and easiet way to cover/wrap my PSU cables.

cable sleeving, frayed ends covered with black electrical tape, to prevent the tape from coming apart, black zip tie the tape. hehe. would have preferred shrink tubing but oh well. the key to a clean case i think, is all in the routing of cables, where you hide, stuff, run the wires is very important.
