Suggestions for Free MMORPG...

Hi,

Can anyone suggest decent f2p MMORPGs (not limited ones like Runes of Magic)? Doesn't have to be like 3d or anything like that..

thanks.

I've just started DDO (dungeons and dragons online). There's lots of good f2p content and the gameplay is pretty decent.

you can try Dungeon Fighter Online

it's basically a 2D arcade beat em up game with Diablo-like drops, a RPG skill system, and quests

gameplay is based off of entering dungeons in parties of 1-4. dungeons have 3-4 tiers of difficulty and most dungeons last 10 minutes or less.

I advise to read about the game though because while it is f2p, things like skill respecs cost real money.

D & D Online seems decent, but I have a huge backlog of solo RPGs to work through so I've only played a few hours.

Their forum has a section specifically for free play with guide threads to getting the most out of it.

9dragons used to be ok. Idk if it still exists. Also you can try 2moons, it was a fun grindfest xD

I played 2Moons with a bunch of friends when it first released. We were all in our 90's in a top guild when we took advantage of buying and reselling the new Items Shops in stalls, made millions. Then we all got sick of the grind and one of my friends playing had a hacker just randomly give him 100 million in town... I pretty much rage quit after he showed me the money...

FFFUUUUUUUUUUU

Age of Conan is now free to play up to level 20. Not sure if that's too restrictive to you or not but I've heard it's the best part of the game anyway.

Yeah I played when it first came out. I was annoying because I was not able to customize the looks of my character, everyone looks the same. I loved the skills tho.

are you sure about that? I might be interested. How long does it take to get to level 20 if playing slowly and exploring everything?

Runescape is outdated and I doubt you get into that. There was another mmorpg that I played for quite a long time but I can't remember the name of it. (how good can it be if I can't remember the name eh?) But it had a word magic in it. Anyway, you were able to mine, cut trees, gather plants, etc to produce gear. It had a pretty good alchemy system too.

Edit: just remembered, it is called runes of magic.
