We are currently using AT&T to host both our email & website.
The email is POP and at the office we use Thunderbird. While AT&T's email host has a spam filter, it's pretty much useless.

I know that I can install a spam filter in each PC, but we access our email from home, office and through our phones. If I block the spam on my PC, as soon as I try to download email to my phone, It gets overwhelmed with spam. Is there a service that will allow me to have our email server forward all the emails to it and have it filter the spam and leave the good mail ready for access?

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks.

Any spam filtering should occur before the Mail Server/Mailbox. I'd check with AT&T and see if they have any advanced services that you could purchase, or if you can have the filtering that's in-place reconfigured.

Our PC's are configured to download the email & leave a copy in the email server until it's deleted from the PC.
The mobile devices are configured the exact same way as the PC's. They Just access the email server over the net and download the emails.

I tried setting up a pc to dowload all emails every minute, run them through a spam filter (Cloudmark - trial version) and delete spam from the email server. In theory, when the pc checks for email every 4 or 5 minutes, the spam should be gone. In reality, though it doesn't work very well. The program seems to freeze or stops deleting spam after a while.

I may test out Spamfighter' s hosted spam filter. (Thanks TZDK)
