I want to build a file server - something to store videos, RAW files from my Reble XT, and other big stuff. I have the guts of an athlonXP 1600+ system (CPU, 512MB RAM, video, boot HDD, etc.), but I'll probably need a new case. suggestions?

That might be a bit *too* big :p. Besides, I'd like to do this as inexpensively as possible, without cutting corners, of course. To that end, the Antec SLK3000B looks like a good case for my purposes: 7 3.5" bays, 4 5.25", and a 120mm fan both front and rear.

take a $10 cheapo atx case, gut it, and build your own hard drive cage out of aluminum and build an adequate cooling system for it as well. I did it, works great for 8 hds :)

SLK3000 is great if you need 5 HDs or less, the grommets reduce vibration and you can put in a low speed intake fan for quiet cooling of the drives.
