I want to set up a network to stream HDTV content wirelessly. Can anyone suggest a wireless N router with gigabit switch and N usb adapters that consistently provide 250mpbs+ wireless speeds?

Thanks in advance.

As a matter of fact, that's about the distance for the wi-fi signal in my case (I want to share the signal between an HTPC with HD content driving a projector and another computer that is for generic use that is connected to a 1080P 46" LCD screen.

There are a couple of routers on Newegg where the reviewers have achieved that speed consistently, but most do not mention the adapters they use.

No one can tell you this. The wifi router is one part of the setup, but no one here knows what kind of wifi traffic is close to you and what channels are available. BTW, why do you need 250mb to stream HD when most HD streams use ~20mb. The basic rate of Draft N is 65mbs. Combine this with two streams, 2rx 2tx antennas, and you have 130mbs and then double that for full duplex and that is how they come up with 270mbs (260mbs actually). There are some with a third antenna but they seem to be vanishing. Don't trust those reviews that state they get 250mb+, they are just looking at what the wifi driver is reporting.

You have to concentrate on dual research. I.e. what are your options after you spend $200 on Draft_N Wireless and you get No streaming, or Choppy Streaming.

It might be possible that given environmental and Network Variables there is No Wireless solution.

Unfortunately, when it comes to Wireless there is Big gap between the Data Sheet, and the stories that some users tell versus reality.

Taking into consideration that I don't know your layout but for that short of a distance can't you run a cable, for that short of run i'd try to figure out something.

seconded...wireless is possible in the right environment, but the last thing i want is hiccups in my HD stream. wired = peace of mind
