instead of 2x36, get 1x72

theres no big speed difference with RAID, plus the possibility of something going wrong is high

also, as an opinion, i like seagates . . . good, and 5 year warranties (they have 400GB hd)

Do you need a keyboard that fancy?

Instead of an expensive Plextor CD-RW, get something cheaper that will work just as well. You should be able to find something that will do the job for about $40.

One 74GB Raptor will be better than two 36GBs; the 36es are slower. Also just get regular 8MB cache storage drive(s) if they're significantly cheaper. If you were thinking of RAID, forget about it; for most applications it's not worth the trouble.

Remember you will need an aftermarket fan for that XP-120. Also consider a simple Zalman 7000 or 7700 series (AlCu; all-copper puts too much stress on the motherboard). If you're overclocking anyway, get a 3000+ or 3200+ instead.

Do you have a quality PSU for that yet? Get something like a Seasonic Super Silencer 350W or 400W (19A and 22A on the +12V rail, respectively).

why would u be spending all that money on rediculus parts.. like a 270$ case.. when ucan upgrade components more. You can go for a SLI combo w/ 6800GTS which will spank that ultra. (thats if u can find the pci-e gts.. if not u can get bfg 6800 OCs and unlock both. Also if u cut out some of those harddrives you could get an FX chip.

Have you checked out the price on a pair of sli gt's thats way more than the ultra with minimal gain.

The gain's not so minimal once you get into resolutions like 1600x1200, which is where a noticeable performance improvement with SLI manifests itself. A single 6800 GT or Ultra should still tackle those resolutions with no problem, though.

Do you really need the Platinum Pro or even the platinum Version of the Audigy? It takes sapce and Watts so you better be using it. It's made for audio editing even though it can't tough the pro stuff.
I alos say get the 74 Raptor II instead of the 2x36 Raptor.
The Plextor is great, but way too expensive to write a couple of CD's considering that you are getting the NEC 3520A.

Ok so I'm going to get the 74gb raptor. Everything else is a matter of preference. Keep it comming though.
