mdchesne notices a lot of "please delete this thread" "." "delete" "nvm" and the like thread titles.
mdchesne realized that if the OP had the power to delete their own thread, it would save the mods time and effort... not to mention AT bandwidth.
so mdchesne wonders this: if fusetalk allows it, and jason clark has the time to add it, how about we add a "delete thread" option right next to the "edit" button for the OP? Only the OP would have access to it, so if the thread turns out to be a repost or a "nvm", they can delete it without PMing the mods to do so. mdchesne knows the mods must get at least a dozen of these PMs a day.
Can you imagine the abuse this feature would be open to? There are too many immature members who would use this feature with hit & run behavior that it would become chaos.
