Suggestion/request: marking threads as "watched/favorite" so they can be easily found again (if that's possible?)

Hi Zuni and all,

Just wondering if there's a way in fusetalk to let us mark favorite threads?

"Subscribing" to a thread offers some of the sam functionality, but it requires you to post to the thread, and to get e-mail whenever it's updated...it would be nice to be able to just quickly mark a thread so that you can go back and find it later without cluttering up your browser favorites...

LMK if that doesn't make sense. 🙂

Thanks, Dave

If you click the "Today" button at the top of the screen you'll see a list of subscribed threads and links to them. You can subscribe to the thread by clicking the little icon that looks like a piece of paper with a arrow on it that's on every message. You can get subscription notices in private messages instead of email if you configure it to do that in your profile.

I've taken to bookmarking my favorite threads (rules posts and any current FS/FT threads, for example). From there, I put the bookmark onto my Links toolbar and it takes me straight there. That way I don't have to sift through a bazillion email or PM notifications.

Thank you Perry! I didn't realize that you could subscribe this way--your gracious correction is appreciated. 🙂

I like getting e-mails for certain key threads (like fs/t), but it would be cool to be able to just have others "saved" without subscribing...perhaps an option to "subscibe w/notice" and "subscribe without notice" would do all I'm looking for, given your point.

Good idea Hossenfeffer. I'd thought about this...

Alas, my linkbar is chock full; moreover, sometimes I only want a thread bookmarked for a day or two, and it's many keystrokes to enter it in bookmarks, put it where I want, save it, then later get to it and remove it...

I know, what a problem to have, poor Dave, LOL... 🙂
