That wouldn't stop the quote neffers. They could still do it manually with FT code.

for example:

I know plenty of forums where the quote feature only quotes the first level and there are no problems understanding the threads. IMO the nested quotes here have been abused so badly that once it starts the thread is doomed no matter how noble the orginator's intentions were in starting it in the first place.
