Suggestion on mobo to go with 4790k

If you plan to overclock I would probably suggest you go with ASrock Z97 Extreme 4, it's almost the same price but you should be getting more features besides I love their overclocking. 😉

There is only one z97 board you should consider and it is the z97 extreme 6- 4x pcie3 hooked up to the processor

I've been using the board you linked and 4790k for about a year, and I haven't encountered any real problems, though earlier BIOS did have some bugs in the "turbo" cpu control. The latest BIOS, by default, will turbo all four cores to 4.4 GHz with 1.25v under load, whereas the cpu specs are for only one or two cores to run 4.4 GHz. The voltages are very stable. I didn't start overclocking mine until last week. It's at 4.7 GHz with 1.25v, using a Noctua NH-D15 cooler. That's the minimum cooling that I would use for that overclock. It is also stable at 4.6 GHz with 1.15v. I haven't tried to go higher than 4.7 GHz because the heat generated is already ridiculous. If you're not going to invest in the best cooling available, I wouldn't try to overclock it. You might expect throttling at default settings if you use a small cooler.
