I need some advise on which to get... I had several puters at work and would like to purchase a couple ext. hard drives and use them as a backup solution. the network is peer-peer and i'll just share folders from each puters that i need to backup.

i know of western digital, maxtor, simpletech, buffalo, etc., they come with backup software, but i read that genie backup is really good and that there is an add-on so u can backup files that are being used or opened... that's what i want. we run 2 shifts here and i cannot be there to monitor and make sure that everyone logs out at any time.

any review sites? i didn't see much on google...some are old 2002 reviews... comparison reviews? links...thnx a bunch.

I would make them - external housings and drives are cheap. Pre-packs would cost more for stuff you apparently don't need.
