Hi. I'm building a new system, and your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Here are specs:

Case: LIAN LI PC-V1000BPlus II
MB: ASUS P5K-deluxe swapped from my current rig.
CPU: Q6600 G0 stepping from CLUBIT. $300 total. :)
Cooler: THERMALRIGHT ULTRA 120 EXTREME Pre-Lapped from SVC. $100
Fan: not decided between Delta EFB1212SHE 120x38mm and Scythe SFF21F 120mm S-Flex Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan 3-Pin 64CFM 28dBA. I'm going to use them as pull and push configuration
Memory: Corsair tracer 8000 2G
Video: any PCI-E since this one is not for gaming
Power Supply: Corsair CMPSU-620HX.

For overclocking purpose, I'll be happy if this one goes over 3.6Ghz hopefully.
My major concern is that Ultra 120 will fit into this case. Secondly, if I use push and pull configuration, would Scythe be enough? I'll put this computer in my office, and I prefer quite fan.

Currently, I have a E6600 (3.48Ghz), Antec P182, and BFG 7950GT. I'm thinking about purchasing EVGA 680i and another 7950GT as a SLI system.
It's little bit confusing since many of you suggest that it would be better to buy newer card (i.e., 8800GTS) than SLI. My concern is that I can't buy a video card more than $200 as I'm getting reimbursement from my company pending an approval.
Your suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JJET

You are going to pay $100 + $20 fan for air cooling? when you can get the 2nd best cooler for $45 with Free Shipping

The power supply is overkill for that system. If you aren't going to be having a top of the line current generation graphics card, even the 520 corsair model will be MORE than enough. Buy.com or ClubIT have the 520 version for $100 with shipping in.

Also buying PC8000 ram is a complete waste of $. Q6600 has a multiplier of 9. This means 400FSB x 9 = 3600mhz and ANY DDR2 800 ram will be good enough. OCZ Plantium Revision 2 for $70 and low 4-4-4 timings is an excellent option. It can easily give you additional headroom beyond 400FSB.

Now, take the 7950GT, and put it into your non-gaming rig giving you a "Free" graphics card. Get a Gigabyte P35 chipset mobo and buy 8800GTS 320/640mb or even a GTX from all the savings for the motherboard ($50), ram ($60), fan ($75) and power supply ($30) and still get reimbursed for $200 from your company.

Thank RussianSensation for your comments.
Yes. I'm going to pay $100 for pre-lapped ultra-120 extreme. I have used tuniq tower, and not really completely happy with it.
I currently have 520 version so I might be buying the same one. I know that PC8000 is overpowered but I currently have one. I might need to buy another 2G, which may depend on the overclocking result from Q6600. There is a miscommunication though. I'll be reimbursed all the costs (cpu, hard, monitor, printer etc). I'm afraid that my supervisor would point why I bought a video card that costs more than $300.
Other than that, I don't have problems financially.
