I've decided to finally get rid of my long time home phone which wasn't being used much. But then instead of losing the number, I thought of porting it to a voip phone conn as I can then use it to make international calls which I do make frequently enough.
I'm considering services like g3[ http://www.g3telecom.com/calling-features.aspx ] which offer to connect directly through the router. But then again, there may be a need for me to initially convert my existing DSL into a dry loop one before being able to use it. Another option is to do away with my existin net conn and opt for a bundled voip phone service with the new conn like with TekSavvy. Which is the better option?
