hello, haven't posted in awhile, been busy. Also, I think everyone knows how out of touch you can get if you stop following on the hardware sites daily for a few months. Basically, I'm building a system using a Supermicro X6DAE-G2 and 2x Xeon 2.8's. It has PCI-E 16x support. I've read some reviews here and there but I know you really need to be up to date to make a good decision so this is why I am asking my favorite HW board... I've put a lot into this system already so I do not want to skimp hard on the video card, but I don't want to break the bank with it either. I was looking at the $220-$250 cards, like ATI X700 and Nvidia's 6600, but as I said I'm a bit out of touch. Are there great cards to be had at that price point or are they really at the much higher $300+ range? Every system I've built I've used Nvidia and never any problems, but I have no preference really. If someone could suggest a couple cards for me I would really appreciate it! =)
