I am looking for help building a home-made hardware device. How is this "not hardware related"?

I understand that it is difficult to maintain such an active community.

Perhaps you should try a little more tact next time. You might have recieved a more descriptive explanation had you had your Private Messages enabled. Next time enable your private messages and feel free to request an explanation if you have questions regarding the moderation on these forums. Public ridicule of the moderators actions will likely not net you any satisfaction and might invite a free vacation.

Thanks for understanding

I don't think so. My project will require extensive hardware knowledge, as we are creating a true hardware device. I think it is one of the most appropriate topics in recent memory! Cases and Cooling may be where most of the modders are, but this is creation, not modification.

I have to agee with the Mods and others - "Cases and Cooling" is probably the most appropriate category for the message. You even admit that you're looking for programmers for writing drivers and testing compatibility. Realistically, I'm not even sure there is a category here for this, but the "Cases and Cooling" forum is probably the most relevant with an audience that's is or has dealt with some of the issues you're addressing.
