I have been doing light exercise for the past 2 1/2 years, but starting to take exercise more seriously. Can you recommend any good fitness/muscle forum sites that are reasonably reputable. When I google I find many sites but don't knot which are good and give overall good advice. Any suggestions are very much welcomed. :)

Yup, AT H&F and bodybuilding.com

Depends on what your goals are, really. What are you trying to accomplish?

a good beginner, general is reddit.com/r/fitness
loads of posts. Like every other site and user submitted content, research it.

If you have a specific goal, question, or concern, you should post here. This sub has a lot of varying experiences and wont sugar coat.

If you just want to read lots of content about fitness or weight training, like others suggesting, Bodybuilding.com's authored content, their forums, reddit/r/fitness, and if you're willing, 4chan.

Read everything mark Rippetoe has to say.

Other than that, I only use the forums at bodybuilding.com. As others said, take what is said and research it. Most posters assume the people on the other end are elite bodybuilders. The first question should be, what level of experience does the poster have but it never is. And people start giving advice. Not sure how it is advice if they don't know if you bench 100 or 400 pounds.

Bodybuilding.com has a lot of good info. Plus you can also see people's personal transformations and it can motivate you a bit.
