Hello guys, this is my first post on this forum. Forgive me if I have not searched/browsed through this forum for this topic.
I am residing in India and would like to know from you guys about some good Android devices that connects to a standard FHD LED TV (not smart TV) in order to enhance the viewing experience by making using of Android (or any alternative OS) apps.
In particular, I am looking for a device that:
- Should connect to my home Wi-Fi network
- I can browse the web using a web browser (like Chrome/Firefox) and can install custom apps
- Install apps from the Google Play Store (or any other market store if OS is different)
- Able to install ad blocking apps (like AdGuard) [Not sure if there are ads seen on such devices too?]
- Cast content from other portable devices to TV via the device
- Able to connect to a USB pen drive/memory card and play/view content (Audio, Video, Documents, etc.) on TV
- Able to install proxy/VPN apps in case some services are not yet available in India (Ex: Spotify)
- Easy User Interface and navigation of menus/options with fast response (more RAM & ROM)
- Additional features like voice remote, DTS audio, 4K UHD (60 fps) would be an added advantage
Price is not a factor but the device should be of a good make/brand and not some cheap built by some local/Chinese brand.
