Using 2.9.58. currently. Not sure if it can keep up with the latest and greatest. Just want a stable, reliable driver. something for light gameplay and dvd editing.

I posted in your other thread, anyway do what I suggested,I would start with latest official nvidia drivers like I posted in your other thread, they work great even on my old GF2 Ti.

It`s always best to start with latest official drivers and take it from there, remember they have the latest bug fixes as well.

I had the best luck with the 41.09 and 44.03's with my old 4600. Newer drivers had problems in a game or two.

20 people will tell you 20 different versions to use. The reason? Because everyone has a unique experience with each driver.

I've been holding steady with the 53.03's for a while now, as upgrading to the 2 newest releases, as well as the beta 60's, have not done well for me.

imusing omega 43.45. before that i was using 30.82 but certain games needed updated drivers. dont use any of the 5x.xx forceware drivers. those are only for fx cards. in theory its for all cards, tnt and up..... in theory

whichever driver don't have any issues with any of your games is usually the best :)
if it just happens to be the latest one then that's great

44.03 even better for it than the det 60s? im about to reinstall windows in a few days, so i need to know what to use that would be best for Battlefield Vietnam and Morrowind

also, do they have the best IQ?

I've heard good things about both 44.03 and 43.45 for 4x00s. I use the 43.45 for my ti4600, and on top of running even newer games like Far Cry flawlessly, they don't have some of the glitches I experienced with the latest drivers, most notably the 56.72, and give me a 1500 point increase (which, in my case, DID translate to faster running games) in 3dmark'01 over the 56.72.

44.03 definatly do render the best IQ for TI with no bugs. 43.45 are faster, but i noticed they don't render as nicely as the 44.03s do. i noticed in Gun Metal that the distant mountains are very blurred and definatly a noticable IQ drop. oh and avoid 45.23, these produces more bugs than the other 2. i've noticed texture errors in certain games.

altho... 43.45 do benchmark higher ;) if i were to run them on my main rig and bench again, might get an extra 500 marks on top of the 17k, but can't be arsed right now tho.

I'm using the 60.72 beta, because it fixes a problem w/ older drivers locking you up when playing a game (such as SoF2 multiplayer) that's running punkbuster.

I used the latest forceware with my Ti4600 a couple months back with no problems. It seemed to work as well as/better than the older Dets.

of the 4xxx series, I thought the 41.09s did the best, the 43.45s being a close second.

I'm running the 61.36 WHQLs on my Ti4400 now, and they have FAR BETTER IQ than any previous detonator, for my card at least. The crispness of my desktop is outstanding and games looks lovely as well.
