Suggestion: Data caching

I just wanted to make a suggestion to possibly improve the forum performance.

How about caching some of the data? Make them expire after 30 seconds or so. It could make quite a bit of difference for retrieving.

After all, these are forums, not chat rooms.

Or is the bottleneck mostly on the bandwidth than server performance?
