Suggestion about banning someone

How about emailing the person the reason why they were banned and for how long they are banned.

The moderators tend to ban people only when they've been naughty. The rules around here are pretty clear, AFAIK; no warez, no porn, no bypassing the language filter, and no auction-style posts in FS/FT (there may be a few others, but if a newbie screws up, the mods will usually just lock the offending thread and warn him/her). If a person has done something wrong and got banned, they should be able to remember what thread it was in, anyway. The moderators seem to either send a PM or leave a message in the offending post when they ban somebody anyway (not that I want to find out from personal experience ).
