"Suggested" Voltage for OC Duron 650?

I have or will have the following essentials:

Duron 650
ThermalTake ChromeOrb (rev 3)
asus a7v
maxtor 20.4 diamondmax plus 40 or ibm 75gxp
inwin a500 with 250W supply.

If I wanted to OC the Duron to 950, what voltage should I use? 1.75 or 1.85? Experiences?

Also how stable/hot have attempts to OC the Durons to 1Ghz+ ?

For reference, my 650 would only be stable at 1.85V. It'll do 900 at 1.725V. It just depends on your chip. Some report going to 900 at default. Chrome orb may not be enough. These things get hot!

1.85V is a common number for pushing the CPU to the limit.

1.9 is used on occasion.

1Ghz is pretty rare. Best to stick with a 750MHz Duron if you're shooting for 1Ghz. They are more likely to have the highest quality cores.

Uhh.. I've heard your best bet is to go with the 700 durons to overclock, because the new 750's are all locked with the pins taken out.

Well, if I had a choice of running the Duron at: 950 @ 1.6 , 1.7, 1.75, or 1.85 and assuming that the CPU temp is +/- of each other 4 C , which setup should I choose?

if stable with 1.6v, use 1.6v.

Get the 700Mhz for 1Ghz and above. I can vouch for that, at least for mine.

My 700Mhz will do 900Mhz at default voltage. 1.55V

It required a jump of 2V to be stable at 1Ghz though
