Suggest some games that are good for the "family" ?

So I've got my usual action and racing Xbox 360 games. Can anyone suggest some "fun for all" games? My gf enjoyed the Mario games on SNES. I guess I'd be looking for something that is just fun for most anyone - no violence or blood. Any suggestions?

A Wii would definitely be a great "family" toy, but I won the Xbox 360 in a contest and there's no room in the budget for a Wii.
