suggest some cards to me

im looking for a card that is an improvement over intel hd 3000 graphics i dont game ..i do alot of multimedia stuff with photos and videos

would like to keep it under $160 if i can

please give recommendations and what you think the card will be good for and how much is it then the hd 3000

if you don't game, go for a cheap discrete card, something like the HD5670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150535 for ~$80. But not being a gamer, can I ask why you want to upgrade? what can your system not do that you want it to?

not sure im not def doing it a better graphics card wont help with photo and video editing?

Only if a program takes advantage of CUDA, which by the you'd want something made by nVidia.

Like I've said, it depends of the capabilities of the software you're using to edit photos and videos. Some programs like Photshop can take advantage of CUDA.

You are not going to need a new card if you don't game.

If you want a discrete card, I'd buy a 5670/6670

But is it really worth the cost? We are talking fractions here that most wouldn't notice running a 2600k
