I presently have access to a test cluster consisting of 5 nodes, 4 compute nodes with the following specs, and a head node (whose specs don't really matter)
Compute node CPUs & RAM: 2x12-core Xeon E5 v3 128GB DDR4 ram per
Each compute node has 2 to 3 physical cards consisting of K40, K80 and M40. Each physical card shows 2 GPUs.
I will be writing a review on my experience with the hardware especially the M40. Would love to test the next generation GPUs but there's no Pascal based Tesla, yet.
If anyone has any benchmarks (Linux based) they want me to run on the cluster (slurm & openmpi capable, non HPC apps are fine too) let me know ASAP and I will do my best to run them, compile and report my findings.
The cluster runs Scientific Linux 6.6 which is basically Red Hat Enterprise Linux, so I should be able to compile & run any Linux app. I'm happy to test just about anything that would beneft from running on a high end tesla..
