Yep. For some odd reason people think SUVs have interior space. But honestly, they have very little interior space because they are essentially just cars lifted high off the ground to appear big and impressive. If you want space, and if you want a good vehicle, then a van is the only answer.

The van is the perfect vehicle in so many ways. All except for one: vans are so perfect that they by definition become uncool.

I just got into this "Arguement" with my naighbor the other day.
They were saying their next car <1yr from now will be a SUV because they "need the room"
I'm like are you nuts? They are driving a Grand Caravan right now, with 3 little kids (all under 6) and think they will have more room and be easier in/out than a minivan? Not to mention the houses are close in our neighborhood, and doors swining out versus sliding back is a a HUGE pain in the ass between houses.

While I don't like minivans overall, it is BEYOND the most practical car for 2+ kids. People that argue othersie, need to stuff thier egos away and go with FUNCTION over form.

You'll be very happy with a Volvo station wagon.

he'll be happy becuase he's in the driver's seat and the other 6 passengers and their cargo is smashed in the back.

Not to mention he said <$15K

They're not looking for anything brand new, you can get plenty of Volvos with lots of life left in them for under $15k...
and who cares about the passengers? 😛
