Hi guys, thanks for your input... I was checking through the forum and tried a search for the new PCI slots (66 mhz i think)... anyhow, I got my fancy new raid card and (10) 18 gb 10k scsi drives. But no board to put it in. The card is the newer interface and I wanted to make sure that its got what it needs. SInce I spent so much on the drives and adapters (the adapters cost more then the drives!) along with that card. This is going to be my play rig to practice installing DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and geek junk, so powerful isn't needed. I was hoping to keep the cpu and mobo to around 200- 250 range. Thanks guys!

Oh, specs, here they are

10 new Seagates
2 new 50 GB Seagates
Raid Card

How about Dual CPU's, helps test out the softwares SMP, and will have 64bit/66Mhz PCI slots.

To keep cost down get a 760MPX board and a couple of AthlonXP's or Durons. More then enough power and great stable chipset.

All the 760MPX chipset boards run alomst neck and neck to each other. So find one that has options you will uese, sound, ethetnet, raid, scsi, etc... and then go witht eh cheapest one that fits you needs.

I ran 3 different 760MPX boards and they all were about the same.
