wanted a gaming config ...
i have GCARD > NVIDIA GEFORCE GTS 450 (ASUS)
I NEED a good motherboard for gaming with intel core i3 4160.... 3.6ghz ,lga1150
my options are :
gigabyte/asus
B85 M D3H (or other b85 variants)
H87 M D3H (or other h87 variants)
H97
H81

all above are compatible but its really difficult 2 choose as the differences
even among same chipsets are too close(eg there are variants under same
h87)

all the above boards r in my budget!

games downloaded:
watch dogs ,cod(adv warfare, ghosts),max payne 3,MOH (warfighter),FAR CRY 4,ASSASINS CREED UNITY,Crysis 3 ,Dead Rising 3 ,Dead Space 3 ,GTA,LA Noire,Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor,Need for Speed Rivals ETC ETC (thank god PIRATE BAY is up agn from COSTA rica)

You won't be playing any of those newer games on a GTS450, that's for sure.

As far as the motherboard goes, H97 is the newest / best and most future-proof option out of those. Plus, it supports RAID and SSD-caching.

And, no mention of Pirate Bay please on these forums.

OK seriously last time m askin

most prob i ll stretch to H97 mD3H BUT IF

i go for GIGABYTE GA-H81M-Gaming 3 OR GA-H81M-D3H instead oF H97 ...... would it make a difference in gaming considering

1) No need for over clocking ,no extra ports,M2 etc
2) just need 4th gen processor n NVIDIA gts 450 support (i will upgrade soon ) ,8gb ddr3 ram

FOR ONLY 1 YEAR OF GAMING

all the stuff in pt2(above) is covered by H81 M

SO ??
