This probably won't be very popular here, but I really liked Constantine. It wasn't anything special, but was good nonetheless.

Worst movie of all time. I fully understand the concept of "willing suspension of disbelief," but this movie took that too far. It's insane. The stunts are too over the top, and when he's in that warehouse fighting all those guys... WHERE THE FVCK ARE THEY COMING FROM?! They just flood in group by group. One group comes in from seemingly nowhere, he beats them up, then the next wave comes in, he beats them up, rinse, repeat. NO action movie can be taken seriously, but The Transporter asks WAY too much. Terrible move IMO, though I like Jason Statham.

I disagree.

How is it asking way too much? Just enjoy what is happening on the screen, no need to wonder where things come from or why things are happening. It's a movie that was made to entertain the audience, not to provide a thick plot/story line.

It's one of my favorite movies because you can just watch it over and over again. It's fast paced, kick-ass action that IMO doesnt get tiring to watch.

I don't understand how I could be off on this. If I stripped all the story out of the movie, would you enjoy just watching that scene? No, of course not. For the same reason, I want to see SOME reason for guys literally just popping out of nowhere to fight. It doesn't make sense. Even comedies like Kung Fu Hustle provide SOME reason for guys to be coming seemingly out of the woodwork. There

Also add in the scene where the car drives off the side of the bridge and onto that vehicle below. The first time I saw that (note that I didn't know to look for this or anything because I had never seen the movie before), it was blatantly obvious that there were concrete pillars on that bridge that would have prevented him from jumping over the side. But when they show him going over the side, that "railing" is gone and he just runs right over the side. So, beyond the fact that the stunt is fully impossible, they had to magically make something COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR in order for that to happen.

Finally, add in the scene where he's kicked out of the front of the tractor trailer. That sequence (fall out of the front of vehicle but cling onto the bottom) has been done SO MANY TIMES, and it wasn't believable the FIRST time I saw it done.

Again, it's just that 99% of all the stunts in that movie are utterly impossible, and not just impossible, but SO FAR over the top that I can't get around it while I'm watching the movie. I'm amazed that anyone enjoys it. Even Die Hard or Lethal Weapon has a few scenes where BELIEVABLE things happen. That movie doesn't have one.

You're comparing the movie to Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, which I don't think you should be doing.. IMO they are different types of films. Those two movies had much more to the story/plot than the Transporter did. Those movies had a story with action scenes. The Transporter has action with some story.

I believe that some of the stunts and effects in the movie were meant to be unbelievable. Like i said earlier, it's not one of those movies where you should constantly wonder why thing are happing or how they happened. When i first saw it i just took them all for what the were, which was just entertainment. To me, the movie is like a video game, but in the form of a movie.. Like final fight or something.. the guys keep coming, you dont know where from, but the game is still fun to play :p

I understand the fact that you didn't like the film and that's fine, i'm sure there are films that i dont like that you do, etc.. I'm not trying to get you to like the movie, but i'm just trying to defend one of my favorites :D

Yeah, we're clearly not going to sway each other, I just feel compelled to write because I honestly have never hated a movie more than that one. I can't help but share my opinions. ;)

Unleashed (American Release) aka Danny the Dog (original title)

it does have some drama and chatty parts, but i thought the fights were really well done...especially opening sequence... :)
duno if Unleashed is out yet, but Danny the Dog can be found in chinatown (i'm in NYC)
